• Former Dean Jacqueline Royster Named Professor Emerita

• Mentor, Model, and Caring Advocate, Rebecca Burnett Retires After 13 Years at Georgia Tech; Named Professor Emerita

  Rebecca Burnett, the Class of ’58 Endowed Professor in the School of Literature, Media, and Communication (LMC) and director of the Writing and Communication Program (WCP) at Georgia Tech, will retire August 1. She has been appointed Professor Emerita.

  Former Senator Sam Nunn, namesake and distinguished professor in the Sam Nunn School of International Affairs, and Elizabeth Sherwood-Randall, former U.S. Department of Energy deputy secretary and now a distinguished professor in the Nunn School participated in the “At the Brink” podcast, a project by former Defense Secretary William Perry.

• Karen Head Named to GSU Perimeter College Dean’s Advisory Board

  Karen Head has been named to Georgia State University’s Perimeter College Dean’s Advisory Board, one of five new alumni members approved by a board vote in May. Head is associate chair and associate professor in the School of Literature, Media, and Communication and executive director of the Helen H. Naugle Communication Center.

  

• Sam Nunn School of International Affairs Again Selected to Host US Navy Federal Executive Fellows

  July 14, 2020

  The Georgia Institute of Technology's Sam Nunn School of International Affairs was selected to continue hosting US Navy Federal Executive Fellow for the 2020-2021 and 2021-2022 academic years.  

  Margaret E. Kosal, associate professor in the Nunn School, is the founding director of the Military Fellows Program.  She launched the program in 2014 with two US Army Fellows.  To date, nine Military Fellows the US Army, US Air Force, and US Navy have spent a year at Georgia Tech.

• Rubin Writes Chapter in Sectarianism, Proxies and De-sectarianisation Report

  Lawrence Rubin, an associate professor in the Sam Nunn School of International Affairs, contributed a chapter in Sectarianism, Proxies, and De-sectarianisation (SEPAD) report Saudi Arabia, Iran and De-Escalation in the Persian Gulf. His piece, “Saudi Arabia, Iran and the United States,” discusses the role the U.S. has in the rivalry between Saudi Arabia and Iran.
