Muchlinski Co-Authors Article on Measuring Electoral Violence

David Muchlinski, an assistant professor in the Sam Nunn School of International Affairs, has co-authored, “We need to go deeper: measuring electoral violence using convolutional neural networks and social media.” In the Cambridge University Press publication, artificial intelligence is used to measure electoral violence across three different elections.

Nunn School Ph.D. Alumna Joins Hello Tractor as Chief Data and Analytics Officer

In the spring 2020, Olufunke “Funke” Adebola, the first African American female Ph.D. student in the Sam Nunn School of International Affairs, completed her doctoral degree. After successfully defending her dissertation, Adebola began her job search which led to a fulltime position at Hello Tractor as a Chief Data and Analytics Officer.

Angela Dalle Vacche, professor and influential scholar of film history and theory, has retired after nearly 19 years of distinguished service to the School of Literature, Media, and Communication and the Georgia Institute of Technology. Her retirement was effective Aug. 1. She has been appointed as professor emerita.
