Content Quality

  • For sites using the Georgia Tech name or branding, content is on-brand and follows Georgia Tech’s editorial style.

Content Accuracy

  • All names, titles, dates, data points, classes, and dollar amounts are correct and current.
  • No outdated or expired information remains on the page.

Images

  • Photos and graphics are timely and appropriate for the content.
  • Alt text accurately describes the image for screen readers.
  • Images do not contain embedded text (use captions or regular text on the page instead).

Links

  • All links work and go to the correct destination.
  • Link text is descriptive (e.g., “Ivan Allen College events” instead of “click here”).

Embedded Media

  • Videos display correctly and have human-verified captions or transcripts.
  • Audio clips include a transcript.

Files & Assets

  • All files and PDFs are current, necessary, and accessible.
  • No links go to OneDrive, Dropbox, Google Drive, etc. — use approved hosting.

Accessibility Beyond Images

  • Headings follow a logical order (H2 → H3 → H4) to organize content.
  • Lists use proper bullet or number formatting (not typed characters).
  • Text and background colors have good contrast and are easy to read.

Mobile & Device Check

  • Page displays well on mobile, tablet, and desktop.
  • Links, buttons, and menus are easy to tap on mobile devices.

SEO & Findability

  • Page titles and headings clearly describe the topic.
  • Keywords your audience would search for are naturally included in the content.
  • Meta descriptions (if editable) are short, clear, and match the content.

Content Lifecycle & Archiving

  • Outdated events and news are removed or archived per your unit’s policy.
  • Time-sensitive pages (deadlines, event registrations, announcements) are updated promptly.

Consistency Across Pages

  • Similar content types use the same style and structure across the site.
  • Contact information is consistent everywhere it appears.
