Kosal Examines Disruptive Technologies and Emerging Innovations in Article

Margaret E. Kosal, an associate professor in the Sam Nunn School of International Affairs, wrote “AI and Global Security Environment” published by PIR Center.
Kosal examines how disruptive technologies and emerging innovations are going to change economies, governmental structures, and international security. The paper was based on comments that were prepared for the December 2019 Moscow meeting on reducing nuclear risks during great power competition, which was co-organized with the Center for Strategic & International Studies (CSIS).
Founded in April 1994, the PIR Center performs research, consulting services, educational, public awareness and publishing activities. The areas of research focus is international security, control and nonproliferation of weapons of mass destruction (WMD).
Kosal’s research focuses on reducing the threat of WMD and understanding the role of emerging technologies for security. Her research explores the relationships among technology, strategy, and governance.
