The Nunn School is Offering New Career Resource Information
Posted February 19, 2020
The career services office in the Sam Nunn School of International Affairs has started offering alumni employment resource information through Microsoft Sway.
The bi-monthly service, which is posted to the Sam Nunn alumni group on Linkedin, began after Stephanie Jackson received many inquiries from graduating students about remaining on the listserv for the Weekly Digest, a weekly career-oriented newsletter sent to students. Unfortunately, once students graduate, they no longer have access to Canvas, the platform which hosts the career-related information.
Yet, Stephanie Jackson, the assistant director of Undergraduate Advising and Career Services, continued to receive job opportunities. “This alumni career resource came about as a way to share those opportunities and encourage alumni to post open positions with their agencies and organizations,” said Jackson.
“My hope is that it becomes richer and more dynamic as alumni begin to view it and submit positions,” said Jackson. “Our capacity to provide career services to alumni is limited. However, this provides access to curated opportunities for Nunn School alumni.” As noted by Adam N. Stulberg, Chair of the Nunn School, “it also stands to provide yet another connective tissue in fostering community among an increasingly active, diverse and dispersed alumni.”
Alums are encouraged to visit the MS Sway career services site for up-to-date job postings. For the individuals wanting to share open positions, please contact Stephanie Jackson.
