Center for European and Transatlantic Studies Hosts Trade Delegation

On 12 December, the Center for European and Transatlantic Studies (CETS) hosted a public event for a delegation of trade officials from 11 member states led by Austria’s Ambassador to the US – Wolfgang Waldner. Ambassador Waldner gave a short talk outlining the importance of the transatlantic economic relationship and explaining the aims of Austria’s presidency of the EU.
His remarks were followed by a panel discussion with:
- Tomas Baert, Head of Trade and Agriculture Section, EU Delegation to the US
- John Woodward, Senior Director, Foreign Investment, Metro Atlanta Chamber
- Mary Waters, Deputy Commissioner for International Trade, Georgia Department of Economic Development
Alasdair Young opened the event and moderated the panel discussion.
The event was organized in collaboration with the EU Delegation to the U.S., the Georgia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Georgia Tech’s Center for International Business Education and Research, the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, the World Affairs Council of Atlanta, and the World Trade Center Atlanta.
