Kranzberg Professor Discusses the Importance of the History of Science and Technology

John Krige, Ph.D., Kranzberg Professor in the School of History and Sociology, reflects on the importance of understanding the historical roots of scientific and technological developments in a special article for Spring/Summer 2017 issue of Georgia History Today, a publication of the Georgia Historical Society.  

Krige discusses the importance of understanding the historical origins of scientific and technological developments, as well as the emergence of scientific “truths” through the “cut-and-thrust of disputes among experts.”
