GPB Premieres Documentary about Georgia Tech Alum Ivan Allen, Jr.

The original documentary Ivan Allen, Jr.- A Different Road premieres throughout the month of June on Georgia Public Broadcasting. Produced by Living Stories, the film creates a multifaceted portrait of Allen (Comm 1933) during his eight year service as mayor of Atlanta during the critical transitional years between 1962 and 1970. As the only elected leader from the South to testify in Congress in favor of civil rights legislation in 1963, Allen differentiated Atlanta from the rest of the segregated South.
